Circular Poetry Contributor: Ynes Sanz

This contribution to the Letter.Box.Stamp.Collect. project is a piece called snake  by poet Ynes Sanz. Ynes says this of the piece:

This was written for the project. The snake eating its own tail seemed the obvious image. The fundamental orifice reference is also pleasingly circular, but that was really just an excuse! to give expression to my lifelong crusade for poetry to be poncy-git-free!

Ynes’ latest collection is Flash Harry : a miscellany : poems about mad & memorable men and her next collection, The Five-minute Vulcanizer, is coming soon. Ynes will be performing with Zenobia Frost & Rob Morris, alongside Sachiko Murakami and Aden Rolfe in the First Thunder Spoke session on Saturday 24th August at the Queensland Poetry Festival.

  2. Hmm. What a fabulously unique simile. The picture this poem creates!…deliciously wicked and most certainly ” poncy git free’!
